The 2009 Day
Camp was our 15th year of Day Camp at Lake Rebecca Park Reserve. We have had a wonderful staff throughout those 15 years and
I look forward to another 15 years of the same quality in my staff. The
girls had a week full of fun as they participated in activities in Campcraft, Crafts, Games, Outdoor Specialty Skills, and
Nature. They set up tents, cooked over fires, played at the beach, canoed, learned about bats, made a variety of crafts, used
compasses to find their way, and learned to use use a jack knife safely. Thursday night all campers 4th grade and up can attend the overnight. Those who did were once again treated
to an amazing campfire and a wonderful program planned by our Kinda Caddies. The highlight of the week for me was at the All Camp Program on Friday when the Core Staff
gave me a DVD they had put together for me celebrating the past 15 years of WRDC. I can't wait to see what they will have
in store in 2024.
