The 2012 Day Camp was our 17th year of Day Camp at Lake Rebecca Park Reserve.

This year was the second hottest year experienced by Western Rural Day Campers. The heat indexes on Monday through Weds did test our stamina and spirit, but we won in the end. A great time was had by all, and the campers learned how much water you really can drink in one day.

We also had a record number of campers at camp this year and look forward to doing it again in 2012. Be sure to get your camper registered before the units fill up. We allowed extras this year, but it was very taxing on the staff and it's likely we won't be doing it again next year.

All campers were sent home with next year's registration form. You can register at anytime just by sending in the form and fee. It could become a great Christmas present for your favorite Scout this year.

The staff at WRDC are already excitedly planning for next year's camp and can't wait to find out who we will be educating in outdorr skills next year.
